She is a mirror in the sky
Reflecting him, brightest star
She is a fierce white in his glory
He makes her grow brighter
In the early moments of dawn

She rests low in the Western sky
Her cradle of clouds is blue purple
As he wakes, her bed turns pink
He whites the Eastern horizon
With rays of yellow orange

Opposites every morning
Yellow orange and purple blue
Her base of mountains
His path of rolling plains
He sends forth day
She gives back night

In these minutes they are equal
At the ends of earth and sky
Her brightest is his kiss
His shine is her embrace
She will fade as he chases her
